Privacy Policy
How UK Property Index handles personal and usage data.
This page sets out the practical handling of account, search, billing, and product-usage data. It is a working policy page, not a substitute for formal legal advice.
What we collect
We may collect account details such as your email address, authentication provider, preferences you give us in the product, billing identifiers from Stripe, and postcode searches you make while using the service.
What we use it for
We use this information to run the product, provide access to paid features, improve valuation and reporting features, measure product performance, prevent abuse, and support security and account recovery.
Usage analytics
We may analyse product usage and search activity to understand which features are used, where the product is slow or unclear, and how the service can be improved. Where we use analytics for broader reporting or commercial insight, that should be aggregated or anonymised rather than tied back to a named person.
Billing and payments
Payments are handled through Stripe. We do not store full payment card details on UK Property Index. Stripe may give us subscription status, customer identifiers, and billing event details so we can manage your plan correctly.
Data sharing
We do not describe this service as selling personal data. If broader reporting, trend analysis, or commercial insight is ever produced from usage data, it should be based on aggregated or anonymised information rather than personally identifiable customer data.
Contact and updates
If this policy is materially updated, the revised version should be published on this page. Formal legal review is still recommended before treating this as a final production policy.
